Real star Upendra has shown his magnanimity in accepting to dance for a special song for ‘Sihi Muthu’ Kannada cinema that is back in news after a long lapse of five years of time from Ashok Kashyap and Rekha Rani.
‘Sihi Muthu’ was launched in March 2008 at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall. After five years and three months the news is that real star Upendra stepped for a song of this film. Upendra is driven by friendship he has with Ashok Kashyap. Ashok Kashyap with his team members completed the song shoot at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. Upendra is seen very rarely in song numbers. The last one he took part was ‘Masth Maja Maadi’ of Soundaya Jagadish production with little super star Master Snehith and top heroines in the song.
In the past Darshan was taking part in a guest role on a payment of Rs.30 lakhs was the announcement. Darshan preoccupation in ‘Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna’ irked Ashok Kashyap – it was in April 2011.
In Kannada film industry one of the doyen Puttanna Kanagal film ‘Savira Mettilu’ was completed after 37 years by KSL Swamee. Films after five years bouncing back are not big news.
Premkumar, Komal Kumar, Dhyan, Pooja (Dimple Chopda) are in the cast. Anbarasu has done the screenplay for the film.
The Persona Communications Private Limited ventured in to making of this film when it was launched five years ago.
V Harikrishna has scored music, Udaya Ravi Hegde is editor, Rameshwari Verma, Prakash Shenoy, Susheel Kelamane, Lakshmi are in the cast of this ‘Sihi Muththu’.
However this is a long lasting ‘Sweet Kiss’!
